The Sacramento Law Foundation provides financial support in the form of grants to non-profit organizations with programs that further SLF’s purpose. In particular, an applicant must articulate how a program will contribute to one or more of the following:
- The quality and accessibility of justice, including legal promotions designed to help provide different methods of resolving court disputes or to make judicial services more available.
- The honor and integrity of the legal profession, improving relations between bar members, the judiciary and the public between clients, victims and witnesses.
- Law-related education, including law scholarships and other projects designed to help students get accustomed to our legal system and how it serves them and their families.

Instructions for applying:
Grants are typically in the $500 - $10000 dollar range, depending upon the needs of recipient, the availability of funds, and other pertinent circumstances. Please download an application and insert the requested information. Mail the completed application and a cover letter containing he name, address and telephone number, of the contact person, to Grant Application, Sacramento Law Foundation 1329 Howe Ave., Suite 100, Sacramento, CA, Sacramento, CA 95825. The envelope for the Spring/Summer grant cycle must be post-marked for a date on or before March 31. Applications for the Fall/Winter cycle must be post-marked for a date on or before October 31. The recipient will be contacted by telephone and/or in writing. Those who are not awarded a grant will be notified by letter. Those who are not awarded a grant are strongly encouraged to apply again.
